PRE - PRODUCTION "Script" 

Introverts & Extroverts

Introduction

Due to change and unfortunate circumstances, myself and the group had to restart our pre - production stage. Once again though, we started with our own group script on a introverts and extroverts documentary concept. I re edited the old script from the knife crime topic and changed our narration and visual areas, and i found keeping to have the same type of genre music would still be appropriate for our documentary. 

What Went Well

I feel the narration aspect is one of the biggest strengths from our script. By having this pleasant, calm and positive tone for our concept and message about the meaning of introverts and extroverts. I also feel, that the visual aspect has a interesting introduction of what knowing to expect when the audiences are going to be introduced about the chosen introverts and extroverts. When the production shoots comes to present, the visual side to it will support me on coming up for enough of coverage and also when i begin to work on my own shot list. On another positive part, on the narration seems very fair, appropriate and simple to have the chosen introverts and extroverts to be interviewed in the order based from the script. This is because, having both of the introverts and extroverts who are connected as relatives together and this will show the audiences how these chosen individuals who are living together as introverts and extroverts. If we presented an introvert from one of the households, then towards next to an extrovert from the other household, i believe their will not be much continuity. 

Even Better If

For further development, we could of gone into a bit more detail of explaining the two chosen locations and rooms. Even though, the storyboard will come around of supporting that improvement and as myself knows very well of the household i will know which rooms i will be filming inside and how i am going to ask my interviewees to be placing themselves of their positions. If the situation right now was not happening, and by filming at unfamiliar locations then we should really improve more on the interior and exterior elements for our script. As a group and being one of the directors, i would of appreciated having my own opinion on any changes that could of been made. Unfortunately once again due to the current situation, it would of been risky and not mature to attend the second location and by actually having able to have a opinion on the script for any changes.  

Conclusion

In conclusion, it has been a bit difficult restarting again due to the societies' current situation at the moment. However, once again this has also rebooted our journey for our documentary project and now by interviewing living relatives, this has given us much more potential, motivation and hopefully a positive outcome on the subject, on introverts and extroverts. My next objectives now, is to create my storyboard for filming at my location, plus a shot list, risk assessment and also doing a recce check while creating the risk assessment as well.
