Editing Workshop (DIRECTIONS UNIT)

                       EDITING WORKSHOP (20.1.20)

Having a workshop in editing, been given some video footage to try and create my own edit cut from my editing skills. 

What Went Well

I wanted to use the coverage with the tracking one shot, where the main individual is walking towards the main part of the located room, and even walking away from the located room. Having a dip to black for the opening, the closing, and also using the same shot when the main individual is entering and leaving the room. I felt i used the most satisfying shots from all of the options shots, even though i did not choose exactly all of the shots. 

Even Better If 

I think the pacing could of improved, by being a bit slower and having more of an atmosphere between the two main individuals. Some of the cutting could of also improved, particularly one cut where the main individual comes in the next room quite late, from one of shots from the other individuals perspective. With a shot of the other individual's keyboard on her laptop, and i could of cut that keyboard shot more shorter.
