What Went Well
Having a lot to think about from this workshop, gave me the support and guidance for the near future on film projects, and by thinking the appropriate tone and mood based from the different colours we were shown based on Fergus's presentation. I understood new names on lighting and what type of mood it's meant to represent, for example flat light (no light), hard light (bright and uneasy) and low light (calm, low and easy for the individual to see). I found it interesting and refreshing to work around on the different types of lighting we were given, the Arri lights with a switch and which was the contemporary lights to be used in films. The LED lights, which i have had previous experience before and how much different they were to use, with no switch, only battery and more options to use on that example.
Even Better If
In the afternoon by trying to re capture a shot from the handbook we were given, i found that to be more challenging. It was difficult by trying to re create the colours and tone from the chosen picture i had picked, and as timing was coming to a conclusion i wished i could of investigated and problem solved more on the task, instead of feeling that i had to rush it. It was sometimes quite difficult to remember all of the information, percentages based on the lighting temperature, and i was getting concerned thinking that the process was starting to feel a bit "complicated". Hopefully though when the next lighting workshops comes around, i will hopefully feel more confident and recognise the pros and cons of lighting more often.
