Presumption - Dungeness Short Film (On Location Trip)

When arriving at Dungeness myself, George, Katie and Kerry began filming our short film based on our title idea "Presumption".

The filming process took us nearly the entire time we had at the location and went very well.

What Went Well (Filming) -  I personally found myself and the group never gave up on the challenging task on location. We picked appropriate parts of the location that goes with our concept of the short film and the majority of time we had good coverage before filming. We always kept on the time before leaving the location and of course not losing any daylight. Each of us done very well in our job roles and we'd made sure that we had the opportunities to try all of the roles, in terms of the technical aspects and being in front of the camera. One of the main important and fair moments was that we'd watch the footage we captured and made sure we as a group, was all very satisfied and could feel prepared to move onto the next scene.

Even Better If (Filming) - One of the parts of the location we had chosen was a wooden bridge. I personally found that we rushed filming the bridge scene, as we did overthink of the time we thought we had left. I felt that after we completed the bridge scene, we didn't really have to be concerned about any of the troubling experience overall. However it is a realistic concern when filming on location, it didn't support us of the troubling weather we had and also how many members of the public that came near the filming area. For future preferences we could of filmed a part of the location with the awkward and frustrating moments firstly, i would say. In terms of the weather and members of the public interfering with our filming.

What Went Well (Editing) -  I personally felt very comfortable and confident in the motivation of editing Presumption. I found it very helpful having the individuals i worked with, having to be near me when we all edited our own cuts. I also recognised the right tools i was using on the editing software and felt confident that they were all useful for editing Presumption. I found it very helpful that Simon came around to watch the updated cut of the film and i always took the advice he gave me, to improve on the post - production process before exporting the document. I thought it was also  helpful as well asking my team in the production to see their opinion of the editing process and i wanted to see their own rough cuts. For myself to give my own opinion of their processes and seeing for myself to receive any future tips and tools in Premiere Pro. My was overall satisfied with my own cut and looking forward to see the other peers own reactions and their own short films as well.

Even Better If (Editing) - I think i could of improved on some of the colour grading from the post - production process. By also writing down the key parts and numbers to suit the entire colour correction, without losing any parts to make it look unfamiliar and different before exporting the document.
