PRE PRODUCTION - Location Shots - 5.11.19 (SELF - DIRECT)

- After completing my first draft of the script, i decided that today would be a great start in planning and organising the pre - production progress for the short film. I have taken some photos around the location, which will be based at my own house and only in a few rooms to represent the plots presentation.  

1. Outside the Front of the House I started with taking some photos outside the front of the location, by representing the start and end of the film. It takes place when our two characters meet each other from the start and how the film ends, without telling any information on plot details. In terms of camera work, i believe i can get some wide shots of the front of the house, tracking shots of the Henchman walking on the pathway, sides and even over the shoulder shots for when the characters meet the very first time.

2. The Hallway, Kitchen/Dining Room I continued with taking photos of the hallway which leads from the front door and straight through to the kitchen. Where the two characters will be making some dialogue, having some props to represent the films theme and message as well. These two rooms will be presenting the films main moments of the twists, characters confronting each other and of course even knowing about our two characters personalties and arcs. In terms of camera work, i will try and capture some mediums, close ups of the props, hand held when the atmosphere is getting intense. I shall be moving property objects when i do a walkthrough, to make sure myself, the cast, crew and the equipment will have as much working space as possible. Without any trip hazards as well.

3. Upstairs Hallway and the Bathroom I concluded taking photos, by going upstairs and taking shots of two rooms that represent the films set up and tone. Both of the rooms will only be used for the one of the two characters and for the majority of time. This will be about one of the characters having some time alone to get his emotions and feelings together and that is from the bathroom scene. The upstairs hallway will be about when our main character has found a familiar object and puts the main character into a much more worse situation. For camera work once again, i can try and capture some close ups of and mediums, to show how the character is feeling with showing and not telling.
