On Location Camera Workshop - (1.11.19)
Last Friday for another camera workshop, however this time going out on location. I teamed up with Ethan, Katie, George and we all worked together of making a couple of short film. Making the most of it and having the first time to experience the reality of filming on location and away from the studio.
When we were about to begin the first short film, Ethan wanted to direct and be the camera operator. Myself and George were the two actors in his film, i played a killer chasing after George and who plays as a victim. Katie was the producer and watched over the equipment and belongings. When we began the second short film, Katie came up with the concept and i was given the opportunity to be the director of photography. Ethan and Katie both were the actors in the film.

WWW- What Went Well - I think we first of all, as a team we all looked around for any hazards and made sure parts of the location was very appropriate and safe to film at. We all communicated and listened to each other, especially when time was coming to an end to meet back with the rest of the peers and tutors. My job roles went very well then I anticipated and particularly being DOP for George and Katie's film. By listening to George's instructions to point the camera at the actors and making George feel satisfied with the shots i captured for his short film.
EBI - Even Better If - My only issue from the day was possibly the weather that interfered at the very start of the day. I wanted the whole day to be about all of us coming up with short films when we were at the location, instead of just capturing and executing two films.
Here are the two edits I made independently from this Wednesday's edit workshop .
