VT 4 Script - Monday 22nd February 2021
The Positives
With beginning working on the VT packages, I was advised by my producers to start working on the fourth VT package and so after writing down some mind mapping, I came up with a script. Two advertisement videos for our commercial break in the live show and being fully aware that I needed to be as irrelevant as possible to the concept of the show. With this still being a time, where we as a team cannot meet in person, plan, and problem solve what needed to be worked on first and why, which was a sensible choice to start working on this fourth video package. I had thought of making two advertisement videos all filmed safely at the comfort of my own home, to film and from my own independence without my VT team to participate as any crew members, and involving the two themes of mental health and pets, and I wanted to focus on those two themes, because of the current time and event we're still living in and wanting to show how important mental health has always been and especially in these uncertain times it really needs to be heard and aware about. For the pets video, is the huge popularity a lot of individuals have towards them. In the video boxes below, I had thought of filming every moment from a POV (point of view) perspective and on objects of the person is playing and interacting with, and what are the healthy strategies that can keep our emotional well-being positive, productive, and of course healthy. These chosen objects, in my opinion, are appropriate choices and I have experienced they are helpful and useful strategies to have in use from my own personal experience and I am hoping from its outcome many others and the audiences who will watch our show can experience an understanding of that theme. For the second advertisement video, I decided to focus a theme on Pets and really the reasons being why Pets are important for us and showing how much appreciation and happiness they can bring towards us as well. With choosing a Springer Spaniel Dog and Birman Cat, they are both Pets I myself own and live with, I am fully aware filming and working with Animals can be very difficult to film and which is why from the script below, I am only planning to film basically whatever they shall be doing with themselves on the day of the shoot and I may try and get to play with them, just to bring the tone up with excitement and entertainment for the commercial break and giving the target audiences a substance of happiness and positivity. I had worked out with the duration of each shot, it shall hopefully and potentially aim at the two minute and fifteen seconds limit duration and I am not as concerned about going over, as I shall inform my VT editor, to keep at the target number and I have always believed in production, it's best to always film too much than less eventually. After my producers looked at the script, they gave me positive feedback and gave me the green light to go forward. After the VT 4 video is completed, I am feeling positive that I can direct and film the other four videos, with my VT team group and in-person with our contributors, contestants, and host whoever those individuals maybe and when we can.
The Negatives
I guess my only negative outcome, is the audio side of the script. I could have gone into more detail on some of the background sounds and sound effects, and what I can do is ask my editor to include some appropriate free copyright music to make the audio side more interesting and spiritual for our target audiences to keep up with what's going in the advertisement video.

VT 1 Script, Shot List & Storyboard

1.) The Script

| Page 2 The Positives When creating the VT 1 script, I was feeling a bit unsure of how I was going to the vision of filming the VT, and this is due to at the moment not knowing still who our contestants are. However, in the final outcome, I believe it will be as appropriate and very possible to film, with still not knowing our participants, this vision script can still be achievable of the type of location, using and showing on the script whether the parent will be a mother or father and the child either being a son or daughter. For the audio side, I am satisfied and proud of adding in some potential and appropriate dialogue, questions, and answers, when the potential contestants will be interviewed for their introduction of the studio production show. The layout of this script, I believe was appropriate still for a studio production show, and by lining next to each other of the video and audio information of VT 1. In the video side, I included a part that says 'other coverage shots, to see and experience the families background and personality, and I wanted to add that into the script, so when the date of shooting VT 1 comes to present, I will read through the script and I will be fully aware that part will be important for the use of coverage and gaining that target sixty-second duration limit for the introduction. The Negatives Regarding the second script, which is paged two above, when I submitted both of the scripts to my fellow peer producers, I was informed that I only needed to actually work on one script and as well only on one family as the contestants. This was a strange miss-communication between myself and the bible of Trending, and as I must of miss read the part about the contestants and the specifics of them. For this being a negative part, I guess It was frustrating that I only needed to do one script, and the time and effort I put into both of them and by having that time of working on other assignments and objectives, and of course, I did not take it personally on my producers and they, of course, didn't as well. Although to take this negative into a positive, I had thought that both having and using these two scripts can be very useful still, and to be more specific, depending on how the chosen contestants will feel about filming inside their house and because of the current situation, there is still a backup plan of filming outside at the chosen contestants garden and once again, the second script as well, doesn't go into too much detail on who the contestants are and both of them can be a rough description of whoever they may be. The only concern of using the second script as a backup is the weather could be a problem, however, at this stage, it is still early times to tell and the chosen contestants could even be more than confident and comfortable filming inside for their introductions. This is why, by keeping both scripts and not having two families for the studio production show, this is a useful and helpful backup resource to have for me, the VT teams, and the producers of Trending. 2.) The Positives
Regarding the positives, I am satisfied with choosing and requiring shots that begin from big to small, and I had made this choice by making sure our contestants are interested and eye-catching to watch for our audiences. Making all the shots wanting to look static from start to finish, was for our progress look very professional and focused very well on our chosen contestants and their background to get a good taste for our audiences as well. I am hoping for the day of the shoot, these specific shots can and will be achievable for the style and genre of a studio production show. Once again mentioning the miss communication of the scripts, both of these shots lists whether it will be interior or exterior can both also be achievable.
The Negatives
Regarding the negatives, I believe I could have gone into more detail on the audio and most specifically on the music moments and what type of music will need to be included for when the post-production stage happens and I shall try to remember, to keep to sticking the tone of positivity and motivation. To use those two words for our representation from the chosen contestants and essentially the tone of our studio production show Trending.

The Positives
With the positives, with the same opinions and reflections from the shot list, I feel the specific shots I want to achieve can be supportive from my drawings, and just the simplicity of when placing the chosen contestants in the frame. In the storyboard pictures on the one-shots, I had scribbled on the side next to the individual and I wanted to do this by creating a depth of field for the background and surroundings of when we begin to film for the introductions of the contestants and to see what a blurred background can look like a very focus and cinematic look and feel for the viewership of the studio production show.
The Negatives
Regarding the negatives, I believe my drawing may not be the best for any other individual's perspectives on the picture presented. I could have gone into more detail when including along with the drawing characters. However, at this moment I do not know what the contestant's house and property look like. Still, I am overall glad I have made a storyboard for VT 1, and this is only another piece of paperwork that will support my shots, scenes, and vision of the introduction of the chosen contestants.
VT 2 Script - Friday 12th March 2021
The Positives
This was a great opportunity for me to be creative as possible and with that being said, is because for one I will not be filming this VT and second it's up to the contestants, whoever they may be, will be filming, they can learn and try a trend for VT two. I wanted to pick TikTok as an example of a trend and two possible aspects of videos individuals can create, and I am fully aware the social media platform is a huge trend at the moment, and especially last year. Considering I do not own a TikTok account, I had researched into the most popular TikTok videos and the two that came up, and along myself typing into the script the specific videos. I wanted to pick TikTok Dance and Lip - Synching Video, as they're both very appropriate for two individuals to be in both of those two TikTok videos, and the two specific and different videos can show brilliant participation and outcomes for the VT and of course, Trending itself. Regarding critical reflections, I am satisfied with the overall two choices of TikTok videos, appropriate dialogue from the contestants in the VT and making myself feel confident when we have gotten our contestants, this script should be communicated over to them appropriately and for the contestants themselves to make a choice of choosing either the two videos or even something completely different, that they are aware of, however, would be more interested in a different trend, and for them to be creative and enjoy themselves when they film for the studio production show.
The Negatives
Regarding negatives, I could have put into the script more different types of TikTok videos for the contestants to have more choices. For example, The Social Media Challenge (The Harlem Shake, Ice Bucket Challenge, and Running Man Challenge) and the Food TikTok videos. These options could have given more choices and options for the contestants to include that level of enjoyment, creativity, and excitement for the VT 2 video. With other critical reflections, in the audio side of the script, I could have gone into more detail about the specific type of music to be appropriate with the tone of our studio production show Trending.
VT 3 Script Drafts 1, 2, & 3 - Wednesday 7th April 2021

| The Positives To start off with the positives, I have felt on the audio side of the script, I have created and picked appropriate, relevant and of course, positive questions for the host to ask the contributor during the online interview. For all of these are suitable for the tone of our studio production show and essentially making our VT 3 video about a news package to be as positive as possible and not aiming anything negative and upsetting for audiences and our target audience demographic to experience and watch. With the news being too negative during the current time and with these questions I have typed up and chosen, can make a difference in positivity and uplifting everyone's spirits watching Trending. The Negatives To conclude on the negatives, I could have gone into more detail on the video side of the script and to be more specific on the descriptions of what is happening in the video and even though this was difficult due to not knowing who the contributor is and their based location to give more specifics and background in the script. To support this draft, I shall look into the first draft of the Trending script and investigate the part about Trending news and the VT 3 aspect and what are the two main producers looking for, and what are to expect from VT 3. The Positives
Regarding some changes for the second draft of the VT 3 script with a positive outcome, I had swapped the hosts, and who are Raheem from the previous script to Camilia as taking over the news package story, and I honestly felt, from meeting her from her own audition, her personality and energy would be more appropriate to suit the atmosphere of the news package story, and on a financial side from our budget of the studio production show, we would be able to afford her time and travel expenses compared to Raheem who would have been more expensive. To include more positive notes, I am more satisfied with the opening dialogue for VT 3 and by feeling confident, the opening dialogue can achieve to make the audiences feel more engaged and interested in the experience of what VT 3 is going to be about and who. Also, having the contributor introducing themselves and their story, I feel this makes the VT more personal, characteristic, and very specific on who the news package is about and why him/ her story for this current time.
The Negatives
My only negative opinion of the second draft is the final audio part of the dialogue with Camila concluding the VT, I feel it's not appropriate as a piece of dialogue when making a TV News segment, and by being specific on who the video is about of course to make it more personal, it does not suit it to be appropriate in the subject and style as a TV News piece. Of course, this can be changed and by recreating a dialogue piece that's more suitable in the context of a News story package.
Draft 3
The Positives
With the third and final draft of the VT 3 script, I feel all the positive outcome is my overall satisfaction. I feel all of the audio dialogue is appropriate, mature, relevant, simple, and interesting for Camilia to make conversation with the contributor, the introduction of the contributor and their background whoever and whatever it may be, and the conclusion of Camilia ending VT 3 and not affecting the continuity and visual style presentation of Trending. Regarding the video side of the final draft of the VT 3 script, it explains a little bit better the format of introducing the contributor, and with the format video being on social media and the concept of Trending being about trends on social media, it's a lot more appropriate to combine the tones from VT 3 and to Trending itself. I feel overall confident and satisfied this script's layout and presentation can be understandable to any of other readers, regarding Camila, the contributor whoever that may be, and the two main producers of Trending to their satisfaction.
The Negatives
For only a couple of small adjustments, I could have included into the audio side of some specific background music when presenting VT 3 and also maybe one or two questions to include for Camilia to ask the contributor, for example, were you expecting to this during a pandemic? or has this changed and helped a lot of others during a difficult time?. However, I want to make sure I am sticking to the time limit duration of the news package story and no interruptions for the entire half-hour duration of Trending itself.
Draft 4 (final draft)
The Positives
Due to not managing to find a contributor for an online interview for VT 3, we had jumped to a new option of still finding an individual, that one of us from Trending knows, asking the individual's permission to show and tell their positive and inspirational story for the VT, however, not by having an online interview. I didn't see this creative difference as a negative, as it had taken a lot of pressure off, of arranging an online interview and saving a lot more time for us as a team to make more progress and time for the live production date of Trending. I was comfortable and satisfied with being informed of this different idea from my fellow peer producers and I was of course happy enough to make a fourth draft of the VT 3 script and have the opportunity to shoot the whole VT on the green screen room at the studios, presenting this VT as a more news package story. Regarding the positives of the fourth draft of the VT 3 script, I am satisfied and confident directing the host of making conversation from the subject matter and the typed-up dialogue I had created. I feel the chosen and changed dialogue will still be appropriate for the tone of Trending and the VT, having the access and permission of showing the social media site of the Bird in Hand pub and their achievements of delivering the food and raising money for the NHS staff, will show a lot of evidence and backstory for our audience.
The Negatives
Regarding the negatives, I could have gone into more detail on the video side of the VT 3 script, being more specific on the chosen photos from the different subjects about the achievements for the NHS staff. However, to take this as a positive, I shall show and direct my VT editor on what photos from the Facebook site, can be useful, appropriate, and fact-based on the story.
VT 5 Script ( Draft 1)
The Positives
I feel that I have typed appropriate, positive, and heartwarming dialogue for our host to read and speak to the audience. From its opening, that I wanted to use this type of dialogue of making viewers audiences feel welcomed and make sure they understand the positive tone and message we are trying to send. With the closing dialogue, I wanted to type up an ending of the appreciation and honesty from the host to the audience members watching, and by making sure the top tip is about a healthy lifestyle in work and life and is always important for our wellbeing. My overall positive opinion of this first draft is the satisfying and honest dialogue that the host will be communicating and speaking to the target demographic audiences.
The Negatives
For the negative side of the first draft, with the video element, I don't feel I am not being that specific about what the top tips are going to be about the healthy work and lifestyle, and being more specific is what the particular words are going to be and how relevant and understandable they will be for any individuals trying to problem solve and juggling a healthy lifestyle of the academics and personal life. I shall be interested to see how the feedback and notes will be coming back to me and see what can be improved for a second draft.
Going back to the negative opinion from the previous draft, I feel the video part has been improved a lot better. By being more specific on the different types of having a healthy life and work style, and I feel these eight examples will be helpful, relevant, understandable, and mature enough for our target demographic audiences. I am feeling confident and positive, these eight examples will be appropriate for the time limit being a one-minute duration of the VT, and I personally agree and feel these examples can spread and send a positive message from our studio production show Trending. With more positive aspects, I changed the dialogue a bit and wanted to keep the top tip about a healthy life and work style, being more specific and showing from the script the information and research I had found is from another website and by an actual professional about the subject matter. My overall opinion is the satisfaction and improvement of the video part of the VT 5 script and even much better and relevant dialogue for the host to read for the subject matter and audiences.
The Negatives
My only negative opinion of this second draft of the VT 5 script, is the audio side about the tone of the music choice. I could have researched into free copyright music on positivity and inspiration, to download, keep and send over to the VT editor when we edit the VT's and just by saving more time of completing these VT's before the studio production show of Trending officially and finally goes into production live.
