Bio
In 1993 a TV series called Homicide Life of Streets (1993- 1998), David Simon started contributing scripts for the series and he became a producer for the final two seasons. After ending his career in 1995 at The Sun as he accepted a buyout offer and by 1997 Simon co wrote a script called The Coroner: A Year in the Life of an Inner City Neighbourhood and the series was adapted into a TV mini series with HBO (Home Box Office) in 2000. His job roles became a scriptwriter, executive producer and after the massive success, David Simon won two Emmy awards.

In 2002 was a big breakthrough for David Simon as he created one of the most critical loved drama series, The Wire. Once again aired on HBO (Home Box Office), the concept is about the perspectives from the police, criminals and set in Baltimore. Over five seasons and unfortunately never won any Emmy awards, the series covers about the school systems, political machinery, shipping operations and press.

After The Wire David Simon continued more drama series with HBO, Generation Kill (2008), Treme (2010 - 2013), Show Me A Hero mini series (2015) and in 2017 David Simon collaborated with George Pelecanos. Both of them created the drama series The Deuce (2017 - 2019), a concept about the pornography industry in the 1970's New York, USA.

How David Simon's Work Interests and Develops My Project STORIES/ DIALOGUE: I have always wanted to research David Simon as The Wire has always been one my favourite dramas of all time. His key work develops mine about his similar concepts from his drama shows. I have always  been inspired from his writing when he creates dialogue and just how clever, realistic and they all have some type of meaning and goal. Some of these examples i can take from The Wire as i find the majority of the dialogue from the characters very clever and intense. Especially when David Simon creates his criminal characters, e.g. Idris Elba's character in The Wire, Stringer Bell. His overall key work supports the process for me, by creating more clever and realistic dialogue, for this project and future projects. The majority of his plots do not explain one plot, however more then one plot point  and my own project does have similar plots from The Wire.

The Wire (2002- 2008)
Treme (2010 - 2013)
Show Me A Hero (2015)
The Deuce (2017 - 2019)
